Resistivity Survey Bondington Nunnery

The picture to the left shows the results of a geophysical survey carried out by the BAS team on the St Leonard's Nunnery at Berwick upon Tweed, using an RM4 resistivity machine. Red indicating high readings, dry wall foundations. Blue indicating low moist areas. The dark blue area at the bottom of the picture shows what is left of a stream now flowing under ground and known to have existed in the 1100 hundreds, not visible today.

The complete area is 75 x 100 metres. It was from these results that we were able to excavate four trenches, and be positioned on top of interesting features.
